The experience
An hour that stays with you
A private carriage ride is one of the few things that genuinely slows time. In the Landau or on the wagonette, you hear the hooves on the road, feel the carriage beneath you, and see the countryside at the pace it was meant to be seen.
We operate rides from Barlows Farm on the edge of Grantham, most often through the Belvoir Castle estate in Leicestershire. The estate routes pass the castle, through parkland, along quiet lanes, one of the most beautiful stretches of countryside in the East Midlands, and very few people ever see it from a carriage.
For special occasions, we can discuss bespoke routes across the Vale of Belvoir, through quiet Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire countryside.
The carriages
Choose your ride
The Landauseats up to four passengers in the enclosed body. It is the original carriage, not a replica, painted in the deep Landau blue that has become the business's signature. When the hood folds back on a clear day, the light is extraordinary.
The wagonette is open-sided and seats larger groups. Perfect for families, birthday groups, or any occasion where you want more people together on the ride. A coach and four can also be arranged for particularly special occasions. Ask us.
Flowers, prosecco, a picnic or lunch arrangements can all be organised. Tell us what you have in mind and we will help make it happen.

Belvoir Castle
We have a longstanding relationship with Belvoir Castle and operate carriage rides through the estate. The routes pass the castle itself, one of England's great country houses, through managed parkland and along quiet estate lanes.
Very few people ever get to see Belvoir from a carriage. It is the kind of experience that produces photographs and memories that last. For anniversary rides, proposals, or any occasion where the setting matters, it is hard to beat.
